For the last several years, I have been carrying a secret. I was teaching social work for a university by day and breaking my family’s heart by night by spending most nights coming home and numbing out on Sauvignon Blanc. I had been questioning my relationship with alcohol for months.
Welcome to This Side Of Alcohol. I am beyond grateful you are here.
Today, I have been alcohol-free for over two years. I have written daily about my sober journey – the good, the bad and the ugly. I want to share my story with you through my book, This Side of Alcohol. My goal is to provide not only space for my story and how I got here, but yours as well.
My friends and colleagues had no idea I had a drinking problem, but my husband and adult daughter were on to me.
